Moone Boy is an Irish comedy in which Chris O'Dowd plays the imaginary friend of Martin, a sweet boy on the verge of adolescence. David Rawle is funny and touching as Martin, and the supporting cast are uniformly excellent. Set in 1989, the soundtrack had me regularly squealing "ooh, I remember that one!" with delight. It won an International Emmy award for Best Comedy, and was described in a Guardian review as "the most life-affirming delight to have hit our screens in a long time." The trailers gives you a good idea of what to expect.
